BERNARD E. ROBINSON
Human Systems Development Consultant
Bernard E. Robinson is an independent management consultant who works with Fortune 500 companies, small businesses, government and
non-government organizations and associations providing business and management consulting services in the areas of leadership, management
development, organizational development, customer relations, quality management and managing cultural diversity. He holds a Masters Degree
in Education. He has been trained in Organizational Development through organizations like the National Training Laboratory, Will Schutz
Associates, and is a licensed trainer in the areas of Performance Management and Problem Solving and Decision Making through Development
Dimensions International, Inc. (1985), and Action Management Associates, Inc. (1988), respectively. From 1993- 2002, Bernard was a Master
Training Performance Consultant with AchieveGlobal, an international training company, in the areas of
leadership and customer relations.
For the past 23 years, he has headed The Institute for Human Development, Inc., a national management consulting firm where he has worked
with private sector, federal, local and state governments and the non-government sector and has been an Adjunct Lecturer with the Temple
University School of Business and Management and the George Washington University School of Continuing Education and Work.
Over the past 30 years, Bernard has worked with a variety of organizations helping them identify, respond to and manage the problems and
tensions associated with organizational change and marketplace competition. Finally, in addition to working for over 20 years with the federal
government, working last as a Senior Employee Development Specialist, Mr. Robinson is a Certified Management Consultant. This certification is
awarded to consultants who have met high standards of education, experience, competence and professionalism as a management consultant. This
certification is issued by The Institute of Management Consultants USA, Inc., and is held by fewer than 1,000 persons.
Finally, in June 2003, Bernard and the Institute received the Federal Acquisition Council Award for Excellence. This award was given for his
work in facilitating the work of the Federal Procurement Data System Reengineering Interagency Working Teams in making the Federal Procurement
Data System - Next Generation. This effort was instrumental in helping the save between $ 10 - $ 20 million cost savings for Government wide
procurement data collection.
